Although the 2020 Shelby GT500s are just trickling out (Thanks, Coronavirus...), there has already been a slew of them tossed onto dynos and on the track for testing. In that testing, some issues have been pinpointed. Today, we offer you a solution to one of those issues with our DivisionX Fuel Rail Kit for the 2020 Shelby GT500.
Our friend Ken Bjonnes over at Palm Beach Dyno is one of the lucky tuners (as well as Lund Racing) to have their hands on multiple 2020 Shelby GT500 projects. While logging on the dyno, Ken has noticed fuel pressure drops in the OEM passenger side fuel rail. This is most likely due to the routing of the fuel hoses to and from the fuel rail.
We have a fix for this issue in our DivisionX 2020 Shelby GT500 Fuel Rail Kit.
The fuel rails are available by themselves for guys already running aftermarket fuel lines, or as the full kit with hoses & fittings.
The DivisionX fuel rails themselves are CNC machined with a black anodized coating for not only good looks, but also for longevity. They come with all required mounting hardware and high strength mounting brackets, as well as inserts to properly clock your fuel injectors. The DivisionX 2020 Shelby GT500 fuel rails feature -8an ports on each end the rail and have the provision for the stock fuel line. They also come with an additional 1/8" NPT port for either a fuel pressure gauge, sending unit or wet nitrous system connection.
If you're looking for a complete OEM replacement, the complete DivisionX 2020 Shelby GT500 Fuel Rail Kit is what you'll need. The kit includes the DivisionX Fuel Rails & hardware as well as all of the necessary hoses & fittings to adapt to your factory fuel line. The kit will come with a 2-to-1 Y-block and lines that will feed the rear of each fuel rail. The front of the fuel rails will be blocked off with the included 8an plug fittings and the setup attaches to your factory fuel hose with the included OEM fuel line adapter.
Passenger side routing of the fuel hoses. NOTE: the single hose pictured is not PTFE hose, as this was our test fitting to get the proper lengths.
As seen in the image above, the Y-block rests in the passenger side of the engine back and the hoses are routed to the rear of the fuel rails behind the supercharger.
Here is a diagram for fitting placement:
The installation is easy & makes for a clean final product. All of the included PTFE hoses are pre-assembled with fittings attached.
