We love the carbon fiber accents on this platform.

 

Although, we feel as though the Carbon Fiber Track Package from factory is a bit... lacking.

 

Even with the Carbon Fiber wheels, dashboard, and rear spoiler, we think more is better! 

 

Feeling the same? No worries! 

 

 

 

 

 

Luckily, through Ford Performance, Anderson Composites, and our own brand of Lethal Performance Carbon Fiber, we are able to bring that want to a reality.

 

Ford Performance teamed with one of the best in the aftermarket carbon fiber accessories companies in the industry, Anderson Composites, equals a recipe for an amazing collection of Carbon Fiber accessories we were looking for on the car, including a hood vent, decklid, bumper cover, side skirts, and even a front splitter / splash guard.

 

 

 

 

 

First thing, we started off with the rear of our 2020 Shelby GT500!

With an easy, straight-forward install of Shelby GT500 performance parts, we walked through each step of the installation, with tips on how to make the process as smooth as possible.

 

Of course, this was only the start! 

 

 

 

 

Next up, we added the Ford Performance Carbon Fiber Hood Vent

 

 

 

 

Bolting directly into the OEM, this Ford Performance / Anderson Composites piece replaces the stock hood vent. Not only does the kit include the Carbon Fiber Hood Vent in a Gloss Finish, it includes a Carbon Fiber Rain Tray in a Matte Finish. 

 

Installation Tips

This should take you roughly 30 minutes to install with simple hand tools. 

 

Required tools include a T25 Torx Bit, 10mm Socket, and a push-pin removal tool. 

 

It is VERY important to cover the engine bay to ensure no bolts, pins, or screws are dropped and lost, as some are needed for the install. We found the packing materal the carbon fiber hood vent came wrapped in covers the entire engine bay from fender to fender, allowing for no possibility of losing anything. Plus, it provides a nice soft surface to lay everything on during the process. 

 

With clear, colored instructions from Ford Performance, this was another easy install with a quality result. 

         

 

 

 

 

 

 

Overall, each of these pieces work excellently together and help give the car a more full Carbon Fiber trim, as we believe it should've been from the factory with the "Carbon Fiber Track Pack" option...
