Jared’s 2003 SVT Cobra: The Beginning

This is where it all started: Jared's 2003 SVT Cobra

Jared bought the 2003 Cobra brand new in 2002, one of the first Terminators to roll off the line. But he wasn't always a Mustang guy...

"I ordered my car after my '99 Camaro SS was stolen back in 2002. I had never owned a Mustang before but knew that the '03 Cobra was soon to be released. It seemed to be the baddest thing to come from Ford," Lethal Performance's Jared Rosen explained. "Since I always wanted a Cobra I pre-ordered one. My car was delivered to me on July 1, 2002, and it was one of the first '03 Cobras to arrive in the South Florida area."

It was when he was shopping around for parts for this car and browsing the forums that he realized there was a real need for quality online sites to buy Mustang parts from. That's when he decided to team up with Jonas to create what is now Lethal Performance.

The 2003 Cobra was the driving force behind where we are today and is also a huge part of the Mustang heritage. #bleedblue

Of course, Jared cannot keep anything stock. He did the natural progression of mods, pulley & exhaust, cams, etc. but then he was ready for more.

This is when Jared initiated one of our strongest & most longstanding relationships in the industry: Whipple Superchargers.

"I remember calling Whipple for the first time in early 2005 just as we started Lethal Performance. At this stage Whipple was just coming back onto the scene after having supply issues with the company that used to manufacture its rotors," Jared said. "Dustin Whipple explained to me that they were just about to receive their newly designed superchargers and what it took to become a dealer. I immediately jumped on it and boy was I glad I did. Not only did I make a really good friend out of it but I had also created an excellent business relationship which has been fruitful for both Whipple and Lethal since."

Jared ran not only a 3.4L blower...

...but when the 4.0L supercharger came out he had to have it! With the new 4.0L, the proper fuel system and a nice set of supporting mods the car made 872rwhp on the rollers.
