Snow White: 1200+rwhp 2013 Shelby GT500

Meet Snow White, our 2013 Ford Shelby GT500. Don’t let the sweet name fool you – this Snow White was an absolute wicked queen on the track. The 2013 GT500 arrived with impressive specs for its time (662 hp from the factory’s supercharged 5.8L Trinity V8), but you know Team Lethal had bigger plans. We took this pristine white Shelby and turned it into a fire-breathing, record-breaking monster that left a mark on the Mustang world.

2013 Shelby GT500 | Snow White

From a technical standpoint, Snow White was where we proved to the community that Lethal Performance could slay giants. A 5.8L Trinity with our touch made over 1,200 whp, nearly double the stock output. We learned just how far the platform could go, and we shared those lessons with our customers through power packages and detailed tech content. Edgy, clever, and technically sharp – Snow White embodied all of that. She wasn’t just a project car; she was a statement that we were here to set records and help our fellow Mustang enthusiasts do the same.

Early on, Snow White got the typical Lethal recipe: intake and exhaust tweaks, a custom Lund Racing tune, and even a shot of nitrous for good measure. The results were immediate – we went from a stock 590 rwhp to 763 rwhp with basic bolt-ons and a 150-shot of nitrous, rocketing the car into the 9-second quarter-mile zone. In fact, Snow White blasted down the strip at 9.77 @ 148 mph with those initial mods, effortlessly achieving what we call “Lethal mode”. But we were just warming up.

Next, we swapped on a truly gigantic supercharger – first a 4.0L Whipple, and later an even larger 4.5L Whipple – plus a built engine to handle the boost. With the fuel system upgraded to our Lethal triple-pump setup and everything dialed in on E85, Snow White roared out 1,236 rwhp on the dyno. That insane power translated to real performance: Snow White became the world’s quickest 2013 GT500, ripping a 9.39-second quarter mile @ 147 mph. We even took home the crown at the prestigious King of the Street competition, where Snow White came out on top against the nation’s highest-horsepower street Mustangs. If there’s a fairytale ending for a Shelby, it’s winning King of the Street and then finding a new home – we eventually auctioned Snow White to a lucky new owner, but her legacy remains a huge point of pride for us.

The 4.5L offers increased airflow and better thermal efficiency over the 4.0L, especially at higher boost levels. On the same pulley setup, we picked up around 130rwhp just from the swap.

We ran a DivisionX return-style system rated for 1800rwhp, using triple pumps and ID2000 injectors. E85 needs significantly more fuel volume than pump gas, so proper headroom is critical.

With a 3.50” upper pulley and ATI 15% overdrive balancer, we were seeing about 24.8 psi of boost with the 4.5L Whipple setup.

The TR6060 gave us street drivability and strength. With a McLeod RXT twin disc and proper tuning, it handled 1200+ rwhp without drama—and kept the car engaging to drive.

A damaged balancer took out the crankshaft during a dyno pull. It forced a full rebuild—but also gave us the chance to go bigger and stronger with the internals.

Snow White might have been sold to make way for the next generation of Lethal builds, but she left her mark. From dyno data and drag strip wins to magazine features and customer inspiration, this GT500 proved what’s possible when you build smart, tune hard, and go big.
