Bilstein shocks and struts incorporate a superior and more reliable Mono Tube design for a more linear response when compared to the progressive valving found in twin tube shocks and struts. All Bilstein struts incorporate internal bump stops permitting you to remove the factory stops to save weight. And perhaps best of all, Bilstein struts and shocks are fully rebuildable and have the ability to be custom valved and or shortened/ lengthened for different ride heights, making them an uncomprable value!
For Solid Axle Cars, this shock has the Heavy Duty valving works best with a 200-300 pound spring. Perfect damping for any aftermarket springs, or factory Bullitt or Mach 1 springs. For racers in classes which allow upgraded dampers but not springs these, when matched to the Bilstein V36-4138-HI Front Struts are a good set up. Works with the factory GT or Cobra (non IRS) springs.
WILL NOT be sufficient for the 325 or 350 pound springs used with Steeda's 5 Link Suspension.
