The brace alone helps stiffen up the front end, and makes me wonder why ford even wasted their time designing the factory piece. Once the torque limiters are installed any shifting issues are non-existent. I also have UPR engine mounts which helps to. Just a hint though, after you tighten the link-to-bell housing bolts, tighten the links one full turn pulling the bell housing down toward the k-member. This will eliminate a lot of vibration/rattling.
