For the driver seeking peak performance, prudent customization and calibration doesn't end under the hood. A carefully selected mid-pipe upgrade enhances both driving power and exhaust sound. MRT Performance has engineered the MaxFlow Series H-Pipe for 2011-2013 Mustang with 5.0L V8 engine.
The MRT MaxFlow H-Pipe minimizes restriction and power losses by maximizing the flow of exhaust gases for performance driving. Our team of engineers optimized three key elements during the design process: (1) tube diameter, (2) smoothness of the exhaust path, and (3) back-pressure of the catalyst. From the factory, 2011-2014 Mustangs are equipped with a mid-pipe that's 2.25 inches in diameter at the point of restriction. The MRT MaxFlow H-Pipe widens the mid-pipe to 3 inches in diameter. MRT's CNC mandrel bending technology ensures that our MaxFlow H-Pipe features smooth bends and precise fit. When your Mustang "breathes easier," you benefit from more usable power.
The MaxFlow H-Pipe for 2011-2014 Mustangs offers additional gains by reducing restrictions caused by the catalytic converters ("Cats"). The Performance version of the MaxFlow H-Pipe comes with high-performance ceramic catalysts that improve exhaust flow over the factory equipment. We recommend this setup for street performance driving, as it offers a reasonable compromise between performance output and emissions. A Race version of the H-Pipe is also available. This setup features a premium metallic catalyst for a greater reduction in back-pressure. We recommend the Race H-Pipe for extreme performance driving. MRT manufactures MaxFlow H-Pipes out of the highest grade 304 Stainless Steel that's extremely durable against rust and corrosion resistant.
MRT's catalytic converters are also made to last, with choice packing designed to endure serious performance activities for years to come. All MRT exhaust systems are engineered and produced by MRT Performance. We inject that raw, rugged performance spirit into the DNA of every exhaust we make. We make sure our MaxFlow H-Pipe gives your Mustang a legendary, nostalgic muscle-car sound. You can expect the deepest rumble on the market with an MRT H-Pipe in comparison to X-Pipe designs. Why? The "H" shape maximizes total mid-pipe volume by avoiding an intersection of exhaust gases. It's that extra volume that gets you that deep exhaust note compared to the high pitched X-Pipe. T
he MaxFlow H-Pipe requires no modifications to your Mustang or your factory exhaust system. The system is a direct mid-pipe replacement that attaches with bolts. All 2011-2014 MRT MaxFlow H-Pipes require a tune. MRT Performance provides custom tuning that will optimize your Mustang for maximum performance gains. After a tune, we've seen significant improvements in the performance response and feel of 2011-2014 Mustangs.
Please note that all MRT H-Pipes are custom systems intended for performance use. We make no claim of compliance with local, state, or federal emissions standards. Please take the steps to learn about regulations in your area and use on main roads at your own risk.
