This setup is geared toward the GT500 owner that's looking to throw some sticky tires on and tear it up at the track.  It comes with the Mcleod RXT clutch and a Steel flywheel which combined make the assembly weigh 7lbs more than the stock GT500 clutch assembly. The added weight allows for harder launches and won't slow down as fast between shifts as the lighter assembly does. This is the same exact setup that we're running in our 4.0L Whipple powered 2010 GT500.

NOTE: The 2010 GT500 uses a different slave cylinder than the previous 07-09 model years. It has a longer throw. Since the majority of the clutch manufacturers including Mcleod have not redesigned their cluthes yet for the difference on the 2010 model you must use a 07-09 Slave Cylinder with this clutch in order for it to engage and release properly.

NOTE: When used on a GT500 you must run an aftermarket flywheel as the stock flywheel will not work with this clutch. We recommend using either the Mcleod 563458/463458 or the Fidanza 186481/286481.

Intended for the high horsepower street fan, the RXT Street Twin clutch kit is an economically priced twin disc clutch that does not include a flywheel(re-use your existing one). Able to handle 1000HP, this clutch kit can handle almost any horse-power you can throw at it and still remain street driveable. Metallic lined clutch discs will provide smooth engagement with a soft pedal effort to make this clutch kit ideal for the street performance enthusiast.

MCLEOD STEEL FLYWHEEL

McLeod steel flywheels are of the finest quality. They generally weigh 25 pounds each and come neutrally balanced with preset holes for attaching McLeod bolt-on counter balance weights, allowing you to add the proper counterweight and install with ease.
