An engine's ability to make power is directly proportionate to the amount of air and fuel that can be brought into the combustion chamber. Putting more fuel in is easy. It's like opening a faucet. However, getting extra air into the chamber is a more difficult matter, since it's essentially "drawn" in. The Magna Charger supercharger increases the displacement or "blows" more air into the engine. This process, known as "forced induction," is widely used in racing, aviation and industry to extract maximum power from internal combustion engines. You get the fuel economy of a smaller engine, but with the power and horsepower of a larger, stronger engine.
Extensive engine and engine chassis dynamometer testing, as well as on-track performance evaluations, shows Magna Charger systems to increase horsepower and torque from 63 to 125% on Corvette engines. The Magna Charger supercharger system is a proven, reliable system, designed to maximize thermal efficiency. It will produce more horsepower per pound of boost than any other forced induction system for street applications on the market today. And the best part of it all-- maintenance is minimal due to integrated lubrication and self-adjusting belt drive system! (Note: This system requires the installation of an aftermarket hood).
This kit provides up to 130* HP gain, and up to 130* ft-lbs of rear wheel torque over stock.
