Lethal Performance is proud to announce the new AFCO Pro-Series Dual Pass Heat Exchanger with DUAL 10" Spal Fans.
As many know we were the ones to introduce the AFCO dual pass heat exchanger to the GT500 market. AFCO approached us several weeks ago letting us know that they've finally put together an upgraded unit with dual fans. They obviously know how important it is to keep up with the demand that our customers look for. As we've seen the dual fan heat exchanger has become a very popular unit. Continuous air across the fins of the heat exchanger help in lowering inlet air temps. This will also prevent you from losing power due to heat soak.
The addition of (2) 10" Spal fans along with a larger core means business. This will be the largest heat exchanger for the GT500 to this date.
If anyone has seen an AFCO product you know it's of the highest quality. The cores, welds and design are used in many high performance applications for both street and track use.
Lethal Performance has locked up the entire first batch and we're giving all of our customers a first shot at purchasing them. We expect to have them available by the end of this month. When dealing with Roots or Twin Screw Superchargers there's always the issue of intake temps. When running the car hard and spinning the blower fast you create heat. Heat equals a loss in power as well as the possibility of damage to the engine. One way to help reduce these intake temps and the risk of damage is to add more fluid into the intercooler system which in turn helps lower intake temps by disiapating heat.
Whenever you add more boost to your car, cooling becomes extremely important. Whether it be on the street or at the track the warmer the car runs the more timing gets pulled. In addition to that an excessive amount of heat known as heat soak starts to take place. This keeps the car down on power and running less efficient. This again can be helped by adding more fluid into the cooling system. The temperature of the intercooler fluid will lower and cool down faster in between runs. You can do all this with the addition of the AFCO Pro-Series Heat Exchanger and dual fan setup.

<p>When JLT developed the 2011 Mustang GT 5.0 intake, they did something completely different for us and incorporated the MAF housing into the tube. This made for a much smoother interior without any transitions, steps or couplers to upset the air flow. Another benefit is the over all look is just plain awesome!</p>
<p>It’s a full 123mm ID at the MAF area and fits under the stock strut tower bar. It also has a new larger heat shield with two mounting points and a weather strip that seals to the hood. With a huge 5” opening on the tube we needed a huge filter. So we got with S&B and gave them some measurements. We love the tapered flange design and Powerstack filtered ends of their filters and ended up with a monster 5x9” filter, that’s a full 8.25” across at the base and 5.5” at the top.</p>
<p>Lethal Performance not only carries the all of the top brands of performance parts for your Mustang but we also carry the best when it comes to tuning. That's why we teamed up with Jon Lund of Lund Racing to offer our customers custom tunes for their cars. Jon Lund of Lund Racing has been tuning cars for quite sometime. He's regarded in the tuning community as one of if not the best when it comes to GT500's, 2011-2012 5.0L's and 03-04 Cobras. His years of experience as well as countless hours on the dyno has given him the tools to offer mail order tunes with the performance of a custom dyno tune.</p>
<p>Not only has Jon tuned our 1040rwhp 9 second GT500 which was a 5.0 Mustang Magazine feature/cover car he also tuned our 2.9L Whipple powered 2011-2012 5.0L Mustang GT which runs low 10's and will soon break into the 9's.</p>
<p>How the custom tuning works is we collect the information we need from you about your car. A tune request is made to Jon and the tune is built to the specific mods you have on your car. Then the tune is then emailed back to us. We'll email you a copy of the tune so that you can upload it onto your SCT handheld device as well as keep a copy of it on file so that if you happen to lose it for any reason we can resend it to you. The tune we provide will still allow you to make changes to it through the handheld device. Things such as spark, gear ratio, tire size, rev limter are all features of the tune that are left open for you to make changes to if you choose. <strong>All of the tuning that we provide through Jon Lund is only good for SCT's products. </strong></p>
<p><strong>Updates</strong>- For minor changes such as adding a different intake, pulley or headers there is no charge. If you happen to upgrade from a stock blower to a Whipple or Turbo setup there will be additional charges as those setups are unique and require additional tuning. The same goes for a race gas or valet tune as those are additional.</p>

<p>Finish it off with a silicone coupler and stainless clamps and you got the cheapest 123mm Intake on the market!!!</p>
<p>Early testing shows this can be used with the stock MAF sensor all the way up to 750 RWHP and well beyond with a MAFia, SCT BA5000 or HPX sensor.</p>

Innovators West now offers a complete replacement balancer for the 2007-2014 5.4L & 5.8L Shelby GT500. Ford redesigned the factory balancer for 2008, making it much lighter than the 2007 unit. This Innovator's West unit is even lighter than the new 2008 part. The supercharger drive section of the pulley is enlarged in diameter by 10%, for a 3-4psi increase in boost.<p></p>

This setup is geared toward the GT500 owner making less than 650 ft/lbs that's looking to throw some sticky tires on and tear it up at the track. It comes with the Mcleod RXT clutch and a Steel flywheel which combined make the assembly weigh 7lbs more than the stock GT500 clutch assembly. The added weight allows for harder launches and won't slow down as fast between shifts as the lighter assembly does. For cars making over 650 ft/lbs, use 6918-07 as the heavier flywheel in this kit will promote wheel spin with cars that make big torque.<p></p>
