CHE 05-2014 Mustang K-Member Brace with Engine Torque Limiters

The CHE Performance 4 Point K-Member Brace with Engine Torque Limiters for the 2005-2014 S197 Ford Mustang will add rigid support for both the front suspension and your driveline, significantly reducing missed shifts caused by the remote mounted shifter on manual transmission cars.

Fits V8 Manual Including the Shelby and Boss Models . V8 Automatic transmission will need revised installation hardware, please contact us for details.

Important Fitment Notes:
  • Will NOT work with SLP 4.6L GT V8 long-tube headers
  • Will NOT work with the OBX 4.6L GT V8 long-tube headers.
  • Pacesetter longtubes on 2005-2010 V8 interfere with the Competition Links but the Standard Poly Links Clear
  • American Racing long tube headers for the GT500 interfere with the Competition Links but the Standard Poly Links clear.
  • No other interference issues have been reported

  • Standard Kit Part # CHE7LA includes the K-member Brace and the Engine Torque Limiters (shown in photo)
  • Competition Kit Part # CHE7LC includes the Competition Engine Torque Limiters featuring Rod Ends in place of the Poly Bushings (increased noise, recommended for competition vehicles only)
  • Early 2005 models (build date prior to 01/2005) may require Adapter Plates. Please see the Tech section for details
  • 2011 and up requires modification to factory K-Member Please see the Installation Instructions for details.

    The brace alone helps stiffen up the front end, and makes me wonder why ford even wasted their time designing the factory piece. Once the torque limiters are installed any shifting issues are non-existent. I also have UPR engine mounts which helps to. Just a hint though, after you tighten the link-to-bell housing bolts, tighten the links one full turn pulling the bell housing down toward the k-member. This will eliminate a lot of vibration/rattling. (Posted on 7/12/14)
